History
Bible Chapel of Delhi Hills began in 1967 through a small home
Bible study. Out of this nucleus of believers came a desire to
start a Bible-believing, gospel-preaching church on the west side
of Cincinnati. Pastor Lowell Landis, father of the present pastor,
was called to help get the church established and became the first
pastor. The church was incorporated and chose the name that it
bears to this day.
Church services were first held in a rented classroom at C.O. Harrison
Elementary School until the purchase of a six-acre farm on Pontius Road
in 1969. While the church still met at the school, the farm house on the
newly acquired property was completely remodeled by the church members.
This facility was used to hold services for nearly six years. In 1973
construction began on a new multi-purpose building which was also built
by the members. In March of 1975 the first services were held in the
new facility.
After a significant growth period in the mid-80’s, a new addition was
begun in 1988 along with renovations to the old facility. Again in
1995 and 1998 new additions were built which included a gym, kitchen,
classrooms, foyer, restrooms, offices and new nursery and toddler
rooms.
While we certainly believe that Christ’s church is not a physical
building but consists of a body of believers, the Lord has been pleased
to bless us with wonderful facilities which more than meet our needs.
We also thank the Lord that it is all paid for in full. Soli Deo

Our
major emphases throughout the years have been the worship of God,
expository preaching of the Word of God, prayer, preparing believers to
do the work of God, and furthering the outreach of the gospel of Jesus
Christ into the world. Bible Chapel of Delhi Hills has always been very
active in supporting Christian missions with nearly 30% of the church’s
annual operating budget is commited to support home and foreign
missions.
Bible Chapel of Delhi Hills is an independent Christian church.
Although having no denominational affiliation over the years, Bible
Chapel has become more and more committed to the biblical doctrines of
God’s grace as maintained in the Reformed tradition and is baptistic in
practice.
